Re: New Age Cures for Diabetes
Wed, May 18, 2005 - 9:10 AMI was taking accupunture for my asthma a few years back and my blood sugars were the best they had ever been, but I couldn't handle having all those needles stuck in me. (Funny isn't it, I took shots for 15 years and I can't handle accupunture...) And being forced to drink tea with little animals in it put me off. But no Cure.

Re: New Age Cures for Diabetes
Wed, June 22, 2005 - 12:31 AMI have tried many remedies like accupuncture, chiropractor, yoga all with varying degree's of sucess. I think it's a matter of keeping up the frequency of which I do it that helps the most. I also do take my vitamins and drink nettles tea every morning.
The real cure for me is getting on the schedule of eating right and exercising. -

Re: New Age Cures for Diabetes
Fri, June 24, 2005 - 12:04 PMNettles has the most antioxidant properties of any tea out there. I put a little spearamint or stevia along with it to ease the taste.
Stevia is another herb that's used as a sweetner and is said to lower bsl. They all come loose leaf, stevia is also sold in little packets that look like the other sweetners. There are a few different brands of stevia all with varying levels of sweetness.
I would try the loose leaf first. -
