To all of you currently using the pump.... I'm trying to get a realistic idea of the monthly cost of using a pump. I have found info for Canada and the UK, but nothing for the US. Before I buy the pump (ouch, it's expensive!) I wan to make sure that I can afford to use it. I have estimates from the medical supply people, but I want to know what your cost is. I have a pretty standard PPO health plan.

What is the cost for needles, tubing, etc.?
What is the cost for insulin, did your insulin cost increase after switching to the pump?

Anything would be helpful.
